REVELATION 21:1,3 “THEN I SAW A NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH….AND I HEARD A LOUD VOICE FROM THE THRONE SAYING, ‘NOW THE DWELLING OF GOD IS WITH MEN AND HE WILL LIVE WITH THEM…HE WILL WIPE OUT EVERY TEAR FROM THEIR EYES, THERE WILL BE NO MORE DEATH OR CRYING OR PAIN.”
I quote these verses in deference to my brother Mark, who died this last week after a long battle fighting diabetes. These verses gave him, and all who read them, comfort knowing the Lord decrees a NEW start for humanity. HE called this “A NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH.” CHRISTIANITY TEACHES ADVERSITY AND SUFFERING ARE A NECESSARY PART of this life for a whole list of reasons. But God promises a time without PAIN AND SORROW. In the meantime, HE PROMISES TO HELP US THROUGH OUR DIFFICULTIES as PROOF we can have faith in a better world to come.
