EXODUS 33;18-9 “THEN MOSES SAID ‘SHOW ME YOUR GLORY.”‘THEN THE LORD SAID, ‘I WILL CAUSE MY GOODNESS TO PASS IN FRONT OF YOU, AND I WILL PROCLAIM MY NAME, THE LORD, IN YOUR PRESENCE. I WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOM I WILL HAVE MERCY, AND I WILL HAVE COMPASSION ON WHOM I WILL HAVE COMPASSION.
What is the GLORY OF GOD? When asked that very question the Lord reportedly used the above words. However, when thinking of God’s glory what might come to mind is His power, His vastness, His creation. But His preference, He’d like us to think of His qualities. Three are mentioned here, HIS GOODNESS, HIS MERCY, HIS COMPASSION. For us to glorify God our assignment is to work to perfect such qualities in our lives, that’s what GLORIFIES GOD.
