Why would you, a human, give up everything to be part of the Kingdom of Heaven now? What is it about the KINGDOM that you want more than anything else? For some it may be a future eternal life, but I believe a fuller answer is the JOY you get NOW. The PEARL, the KINGDOM, offers JOY. The JOY when you come to know God’s Love, the JOY when all of a sudden life makes sense, the JOY when you’re forgiven and can start over, the JOY to be on the winning team, the JOY when you find peace in your soul, on and on…JOY, JOY, JOY. That one word encompasses the feelings of getting so many good things the Lord wants you to have now.
