PSALM 25:4-5 “SHOW ME YOUR WAYS, LORD, TEACH ME YOUR PATHS. GUIDE ME IN TRUTH AND TEACH ME, FOR YOU ARE GOD, MY SAVIOR, AND MY HOPE IS IN YOU ALL DAY LONG.”
This is one thing that keeps us going as believers and that’s HOPE. The psalmist confesses, “I HOPE in you all day long.” He realized, and we should too, when HOPE is gone, the reason for living is gone. Devoid of HOPE is devoid of life energy and the will to keep going. In bad times we HOPE life will get better. In good times we HOPE many more good times will come. What gives believers that constant “HOPE all day long” is the assurance there is a God who cares and is powerful enough to see his caring comes to reality.
