ROMANS 8:15 “FOR YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED A SPIRIT THAT MAKES YOU A SLAVE AGAIN TO FEAR, BUT YOU HAVE RECEIVED A SPIRIT OF SONSHIP.”
We all have FEARS, whether real or imagined. As the Bible writer notes, fear makes us SLAVES. Fear holds us back and hinders us from reaching our individual potential. We have a tendency to live as cowards. And what are our fears? I find in our seemingly advanced society FEAR OF WHAT OTHERS THINK OF US is among the greatest fears. This fear is so insidious since we are NOT CONFRONTED with it directly. Why is it we’re so afraid of what others think of us? Is it our appearance, our perceived lack of money/abilities or that we just don’t seem to fit in? We don’t have to be slaves to fear “AGAIN.” Some are freed from slavery when becoming Christians only to live as slaves again. With Jesus” help we can confront our fears!
Fear for sure is like a disease in the life of many people, because of little faith in Jesus Christ they don’t believe He can change their situations.
We just have to take a bold stance to overcome our fears. The moment we became Christians the yoke of fear was broken by the presence of God in our lives so we can stand and pronounce our freedom in Jesus name.
