PSALM 5:11-2 “LET ALL WHO TAKE REFUGE IN YOU BE GLAD, LET THEM SING WITH JOY…YOU SURROUND THEM WITH YOUR FAVOR AS WITH A SHIELD.”
Here, if you notice, the Psalmist is praying for YOU and using a wonderful metaphor. God’s FAVOR is like a SHIELD you can sense is guarding you. When you begin to feel his FAVOR, it’s like a shield of protection around you, preventing you from being unduly affected by the negatives that come. Why not consider taking David’s prayer for everyone and personalizing it by substituting the word “me” for “them,” and repeat it regularly.That FAVOR AND JOY will come in time. This will require persist prayer but the Joy and gladness will provide protection and well being throughout your life.
