2 CORINTHIANS 9:14-5 “AND IN THEIR PRAYERS FOR YOU THEIR HEARTS WILL GO OUT TO YOU BECAUSE OF THE SURPASSING GRACE GOD HAS GIVEN YOU. THANKS BE TO GOD FOR HIS INDESCRIBABLE GIFT!”
Easter is at least one time of year we are reminded of “THE SURPASSING GRACE GOD HAS GIVEN YOU.” A substantial part of God’s grace toward you was the sending of Jesus. As the verse concludes, the meaning of grace is ‘INDESCRIBABLE,” and more than exceptional kindness. Jesus’ coming to spend time with humans, dying to set us free and showing us the true way to live is “INCREDIBLE,” an “INDESCRIBABLE GIFT.” We want to treat his coming as such every day, not just at Easter. If we read a novel about a man who gave ‘SURPASSING” and “INDESCRIBABLE GIFTS” for no reason other than for his kindness, we’d think it make believe; but Jesus is not make believe!
