1 SAMUEL 12:24 “BE SURE TO FEAR THE LORD AND SERVE HIM FAITHFULLY WITH ALL YOUR HEART, CONSIDER WHAT GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE FOR YOU!”
Take this advice given by the Prophet Samuel to his people. They had admitted to their wayward course but Samuel consoled them by reminding them with God each time we repent we can START OVER with a clean slate. What helps, he said, is to remember the BLESSINGS you already have received. Even if you’ve been a Christian for a short time, what your Father has done for you so far should be a motivation to continue to “Fear The Lord.” And here Jesus clarifies for us what it means to “Fear the Lord.” You FEAR that if you leave the Lord’s path and protection what could befall You. You DON’T FEAR that the Lord could decide capriciously to leave you, you fear what could happen IF YOU DECIDE TO LEAVE HIM!
